Practicing Yoga: 16 years
After retiring from over 30 years as a pastry chef, catering chef, natural foods chef, private chef and cookbook author, Janice created the blog Everyday Healthy! Everyday Delicious! On the blog and through her cooking classes she shares her love of cooking and healthy eating as an inspiration to others to reclaim their kitchens and their health.
For many years, yoga has been a source of exercise, comfort, stress release and community for Janice. Finally, in 2015-16, with the expectation of deepening her own yoga practice, she completed a 9-month yoga teacher training with Bozeman’s own Nancy Ruby. Encouraged by friends, she began teaching yoga, then substitute teaching for Sandy Appleby. Janice is looking forward to sharing yoga with more of the boomer generation. Showing both experienced and beginning yoga practitioners how to adapt yoga techniques to their age, lifestyle, and physical health.

Boomer yoga includes time to warm up, a slow and gentle pace, weight-bearing and balance postures moving with our breath allows us to go deeper into each pose. Strengthening our bones and stretching the muscles where we hold tension. Helping us keep our minds healthy and positive, our bodies vital, flexible and mobile.
