Mommy & Me Yoga with Gloria
Fridays 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. | Jan 11 – Jan 25
Mommy & Me Yoga is not just for mommies! Daddies, nannies, and grannies are also welcome with children aged 6 weeks to 3 years. Based on my training in the Spirit Baby Mommy & Me Yoga Program, Blissful Mommy & Me Yoga classes are a fun way to get out of the house, engage with your baby or toddler, stretch and strengthen your body, and learn valuable meditation techniques to deal with the stress and overwhelm often accompanied by parenting. You’ll also learn how to use baby yoga to calm and connect with your baby.
A typical Blissful Mommy & Me class consists of a Kundalini Yoga kriya (exercise set) and meditation for the parents and Baby Yoga for the little ones. The kriyas are carefully chosen to benefit new mothers who need to regain strength in the abdomen and pelvic floor after childbirth (though other caregivers would certainly also benefit from the very same kriya.) Other focuses are increasing energy, stimulating the immune system, opening the heart center, and relieving tension in the neck and shoulders that comes from feeding, carrying, and holding babies. Meditations are chosen to alleviate depression, to relieve stress, and to balance the brain. Baby Yoga combines songs and mantras with moving and stretching baby’s limbs and leads to happier, healthier babies. Movements are never forced and parents are encouraged to honor their child’s boundaries.
Mothers are advised to wait at least 40 days after delivery before coming to class. This time at home allows for bonding with baby and physical recovery from birth.
$30 for the three weeks, or drop-in for $15

Intro to Mindfulness and Meditation Series
Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. | Jan 15 – Feb 19
This series is free and open to individuals experiencing persistent symptoms as a result of concussion and their caregivers. The teachings are cumulative, attendance to all sessions is recommended.
Meditation is one powerful way to help transform chaos into inner calm and frustration into joy. Meditation offers a variety of paths–from short to long, guidance to silence, imagery to mantras– so that everyone can find a practice that works for them.
During this series you will explore how mindfulness works, experience various practices, and discover what resonates with you.
